Webfoot Constuction is a firm that focuses on quality, green home renovation of all sorts. Mike Sokolsky, the company's principal, is a General Contractor and Realtor. He buys and renovates property, works on contract with individuals, and sells Residential Real Estate on the San Francisco Peninsula. Mike's work includes a mix of design/build and working with architects and engineers of his Client's choice.
Mike got started working with wood in high school, and has built fine furniture on and off as a hobby since then. He is a transformed engineer, with a BS and MS in Computer Science and 16 years of software engineering work experience. He got started in the construction business working his own homes over many years, on evenings and weekends and in between consulting contracts, with the scope of each new phase of renovation expanding over the previous one. He applied that experience as an owner builder to get a Contractor's License and expand into total home renovation. Mike has just completed his seventh complete home renovation. Some of these projects were essentially new homes, and some partial or mostly complete interior and exterior remodel projects. Mike is also a licensed, practicing Real Estate Agent, primarily working with buyers, and buying and selling his own investment property. He has reluctantly given up engineering, but forces himself to update his webpages from time to time.
Webfoot Construction's projects focus on green living as much as possible. Mike builds houses that are quietly efficient, in form and function. Mike is a member of the not for profit organization Build It Green, and is a Certified Green Building Professional.
